Shirley Roberson

Shirley Ann Roberson, 80, of Raytown, formerly of Monett, died at 11:15 p.m. yesterday, March 17, 2009, at her home.

Mrs. Roberson was born July 21, 1928, in Monett, the daughter of Cecil W. and Robbie Weise Patton. She was a homemaker.

She married John David Roberson on Sept. 19, 1946, in Columbus, Kan., and he survives.

Additional survivors include: two sons, John Roberson, of Prairie Village, Kan., and Robert Roberson, of Peculiar; two daughters, Janice Dean, of Overland Park, Kan., and Patricia Hudgens, of Raytown; three brothers, George, Larry and Mike Patton, all of Monett; two sisters, Beverly Wiseman and Sally Daughtery, both of Monett; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Patton; and one sister, Jeannie McCaffrey.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21 at Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 20 at the funeral home.
