Joe Spradling has been appointed sales representative for the Mix Davis Chevrolet Company in Monett.

A decade of Scouting has been completed by Cathy Horn, who was honored with her father, Gene Horn, during the Daddy Date Night program of the Monett Girl Scout Neighborhood last night.
Betty Hegi has been employed to teach industrial sewing and home economics at Monett High School next year, according to Ralph Scott, superintendent.

Monett Rural Fire Association responded to two alarms yesterday, when a barn was destroyed which also caused a grass fire, according to Rural Fire Chief Bill Roetto.
David Sippy, principal at Monett High School, will be among the speakers at the spring meeting of the Missouri State High School Principals Association on Sunday.

Top dressing and aeration of the greens at the Monett Municipal Golf Course is scheduled for next week, according to Toddy Cody, course superintendent.
Receiving third place in the District Dental Poster Contest, sponsored by the Southwest Missouri Dental Society, was Travis Smith, a student at St. Lawrence Catholic School in Monett.

Swimming pool rates were increased and public use of laser pointers was restricted in action taken by the city council of Pierce City in March.
The Purdy High School senior class will host a community dinner with a gospel singing featuring The Morlans and The Messengers on March 21.
