Mrs. Purdom was born Oct. 20, 1915, in Exeter, the daughter of Beecher and Augusta Cooper Antle. She was a homemaker and a member of Eastside Church of Christ in Monett.
She married Ora Francis Purdom on Jan. 16, 1932, in Galena, and he preceded her in death Aug. 31, 1986.
Survivors include: two sons, Jack Purdom, and his wife, Maxine, of Monett, and Larry Purdom, and his wife, Alice, of Purdy; two daughters, Barbara McDougle, and her husband, Selma, of Monett, and Carolyn Courtney, of Monett; two brothers, Everett Antle and Lester Antle, both of Exeter; one sister, Minnie Cornell, of Centralia, Kan.; 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Gene Antle; one sister, Lucille Antle; and one grandchild.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 14 at Buchanan Chapel in Monett. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, March 13 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Fair Haven Children's Home.
