Loren C. Haworth, 96, of Purdy, died at 9:35 p.m. February 26 at Cox Monett Hospital.
Mr. Haworth was born June 30, 1912, in Purdy, the son of Leander and Edith Hewlett Haworth. He was a retired milk hauler for Mid-America Dairymen and a member of the Gunter Methodist Church in Butterfield.
He married Frances June Holloway on March 21, 1935, in Cassville, and she preceded him in death September 27, 1996.
Survivors include two sons, Verlin Haworth and Stevie Haworth, both of Purdy; two daughters, Wilma Quade of Shell Knob and Joanie Singer of Aurora; one brother, Wayne Haworth of Sears Borough, Iowa; three sisters, Vernice Brown of Stark City, Lois Carter of Ash Grove, and Margaret Carter of Everton; 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lorene Aldridge; two brothers, Floy and Lowell Haworth; and one sister, Doris Patton.
Services were 10:30 a.m. today, March 2, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Rev. Jerry Nickle officiating. Burial was in Gunter Cemetery in Butterfield under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett.
