Erma Gentry

Erma L. Basham Gentry, 82, of Everton, died February 28 at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield following a long illness.

Mrs. Gentry was born in Springfield, the daughter of Edward and Hattie Jones Basham. She graduated from Central High School in 1944. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Pittsburg, Kansas.

She married George White, and he preceded her in death. She married Thomas C. Gentry, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son, Ron White, of Monett; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Gentry, on January 26, 2009; and two sisters.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. tomorrow, March 4, at Wilson Brim-Daniel Chapel in Ash Grove with Brian Baker, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery west of Everton.
