J. B. Cunningham Jr., 86, of Aurora, died at 10 a.m. March 7 at the Missouri Veteran's Home in Mt. Vernon.
Mr. Cunningham was born Dec. 10, 1922, in Maysville, the son of John B. and Ruth Ann Maret Cunningham. He was a 1941 graduate of Maysville High School, a Navy veteran of World War II and a pipe fitter with Missouri-Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Aurora.
He married Alice June Stovall on June 19, 1954, in St. Louis, and she preceded him in death July 3, 1998.
Survivors include: two sons, John Cunningham, of Springfield, and Jeff Cunningham, of Billings; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Altha Glairon, and one brother, Vernon Cunningham.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 11 at Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home of Aurora.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, March 10 at the funeral home.
