Mrs. Burns was born Dec. 17, 1927, in Salina, Kan., the daughter of Willis Byron and Lillie Belle Baird Crowther. She was a retired librarian in Pierce City. She was a member of the Literary Club and Garden Club in Pierce City and the Assembly of God in Concordia.
Survivors include: two sons, Curtis Burns, of Concordia, and Harold Burns of Monett; five daughters, Katie Chambers, of Pierce City, Laurie Howard, of Stotts City, Amy Burns, of Concordia, Carol Jones, of Purdy, and Sara Ogle, of Aurora; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold, Willis, John and Joseph Crowther; and one sis¬ter, Mary Crowther.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 21 at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
