Nana Kramer

Nana Mae Kramer, 84, of Purdy, died at 7:25 p.m. March 6, 2009, at Lawrence County Manor in Mt. Vernon following a long illness.

Mrs. Kramer was born June 7, 1924, the daughter of Marguerite Marie and Joseph Nell George. She was a licensed practical nurse, retiring in 1990 after 47 years of service. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Raceland, Ky., and the Eastern Star.

She was married to Wayne Melvin Kramer, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include one son, Robert Holloway, of South Point, Ohio; two daughters, Janina Dickerson, of El Paso, Texas, and Nancy Grissom, of Purdy; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jenka Kramer.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 13 at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland, Ky. Burial will be in Sexton Cemetery in Danleyton, Ky.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, March 12 at the funeral home.
