Jerry Cook, 66, of Mt. Vernon, died at 12:50 a.m. February 13 at his home.
Mr. Cook was born March 24, 1942, in Logan, the son of Eldon Howard and Claudia Dunham Cook. He was a 1960 graduate of Marionville High School, a member of the First Baptist Church in Marionville, and was employed at Silgan Manufacturing Company in Mt. Vernon for 30 years.
He married Judith Ann Yost on July 16, 1982, in Mt. Vernon, and she survives.
Additional survivors include four daughters, Jerrilyn Cantrell of Excelsior Springs, Karen Porter of Olathe, Kansas, Wendy Cook-Mucci of Nashville, Tennessee, and Stacie Danzer of Carroll, Iowa; one son, James Breidenstein of Mt. Vernon; three sisters, Kay Herndon of Marionville, Sara Fugitt of Springfield, and Kathy Roller of Bruner; three brothers, Roger Cook of Shawnee, Kansas, Larry Cook of Marionville, and Braxton Cook of Belton; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Cook.
Services were 2 p.m. today, February 16, at the First Baptist Church in Marionville. Burial was in Marionville IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home of Mt. Vernon.
