Charles Eldon Alexander Jr., 84, of Wheaton, died February 18 at his home.
Mr. Alexander was born April 22, 1924, in Marion, Ohio, the son of Charles E. and Ada Marie Schoonover Alexander. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was an industrial engineer for Boeing Aircraft Company. He was a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association, past president of the New Orleans chapter of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers, a Boy Scout leader, and a Methodist. He moved to Wheaton two years ago.
He married Carol Long on April 8, 1950, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and she survives.
Additional survivors include one son, Charles Alexander III of Wheaton; two daughters, Catherine Alexander of Wheaton and Cherry Alexander of Vancleave, Mississippi; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Dolores Longnecker.
No services are planned and the body has been cremated under the direction of McQueen Funeral Home of Wheaton.
