Dwight Edward Coulson, 87, of Mt. Vernon, died at 1:20 p.m. February 19 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
Mr. Coulson was born November 28, 1921, in Houston, Minnesota, the son of Charles Edward and Lydia Belle Corey Coulson. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a retired construction worker and farmer.
He married Ann Corey on November 24, 1945, in Ridgeway, Minnesota, and she preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Maureen Christopher of Marshfield and Barbara Jungblut of Bellview, Iowa; one son, Thomas Coulson of Thailand; one sister, Carol Thompson of Houston, Minnesota; three grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 19 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Joseph Coulson; and two sisters, Dorothy Chape and June Eaton.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Money Creek Cemetery in Houston, Minnesota. Local arrangements under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home of Mt. Vernon.
