Joe Lee Davidson, 73, of Wheaton, died February 22 at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield.
Mr. Davidson was born December 18, 1935, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Chester and Crystal Goostree Davidson. He was a graduate of Rocky Comfort High School and Oklahoma State University. He was a real estate agent and broker for Flat Creek Realty in Cassville and owned Red Oak Farms near Rocky Comfort for several years. He was president of the National Cattlemen's Association and a member of Alpha Gamma Roe fraternity. He was a Shriner and member of the Masonic Lodge.
He married Wanda Logan on August 1, 1986, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and she survives.
Additional survivors include one son, Jeff Davidson of Neosho; three daughters, Melinda Davidson of Neosho, Tammi Place of Exeter, and Janet Dixon of Stella; four grandchildren and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Davidson.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 26, at Prosperity Baptist Church in Rocky Comfort under the direction of McQueen Funeral Home of Wheaton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. tomorrow, February 25, at the funeral home.
