Lydia Gillespie

Mrs. Gillespie was born March 15, 1934, in Gatewood, the daughter of Leander and Lou Ella McArthur. She was a dairy farmer.

She married Louis Gillespie in Pocahontas, Arkansas, and he survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Elaine Daniel of Monett and Carol Blanton of Exeter; one brother, James McArthur of Arnold; two grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Gillespie; one daughter, Theresa Gillespie; three grandchildren, brothers and sisters.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, February 27, at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Burial will be in Rocky Comfort Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. tomorrow, February 26, at the funeral home.
