Norma Dean Hilton, 90, of Monett, went to her eternal home in Heaven on Saturday evening, April 4, 2020, while at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Mo. Norma was born on September 16, 1929, in Baxter Springs, Kan., daughter of the late Edgar Henry Negre and Nellie Aretta (Samples) Negre. After moving to Missouri, the family settled south of Monett. She attended the one room Bethel School before transferring to Monett where she graduated in 1947 from Monett High School...

Walmart implements new COVID-19 measures

Walmart stores in Missouri, following Gov. Mike Parson’s “Stay Home Missouri” order on Friday, are implementing new measures to help keep employees and shoppers safer during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. Barry County Courthouse closes
