Final hearing on bridge replacement today

The final public hearing on replacing the bridge on Business Highway 60, east of Monett, will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m today at the Monett Chamber of Commerce office, located at 200 E. Broadway. Monett City Council moves swimming pool forward

The Monett City Council has approved several contracts and revisions, including action to advance construction of the new municipal swimming pool. Council members approved a contract with Waters Edge Aquatic Design for planning the final design and construction. Cost will be $239,400, or 8 percent of the $3.1 million projection for the project. City Administrator Dennis Pyle said he found that amount “reasonable.”...
