Persistent rains have been delaying corn and soybean planting across most of the state, as well as affecting wheat harvesting. Sales tax gains push mid-year totals over 2014

June sales tax totals to bi-county governments rallied in the face of the big drop in May. On balance, receipts from the Missouri Department of Revenue fell 28 percent or approximately $400,000 in May from the previous year. June numbers rose 22 percent, or $345,000, more than a year ago.
