Pierce City hires K-9 officer

Aldermen at Pierce City have approved hiring a canine officer, Melvin Nay, from Sarcoxie, as a reserve officer for the city. Nay and his canine counterpart, Kane, will be transitioning to part-time status in May. Pierce City schools make move to 4-day weeks

The Pierce City School District has unanimously approved to move to a four-day school week, effective in the 2015-2016 school year.
