Sales tax revenues down around city of Monett, up throughout county

Sales tax receipts in November showed unexpected gains. For the fourth time in the last five months, taxes collected in the bi-county area have topped totals from a year ago. The Monett area, however, proved to be the exception to this pattern. Monett's two sales taxes for general expenses, totaling 1 percent, generated $140,145.45 in November, down $4,510.69 from a year ago. Receipts from Monett's four taxes fell $8,145.91 under a year ago...
