Monett FFA to host Area 11 Ag Olympics

The Monett FFA Chapter will host the Area 11 Ag Olympics for area FFA organizations from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday in the parking lot and field on the northwest side of the Scott Regional Technology Center. Relief efforts started for family dealing with recent fire

Relief efforts have been put in place for the Amanda Balmas family in rural Pierce City. The family's home suffered extensive damage in a fire on Monday afternoon. Monett Schools adopts new laptop plan

A two-year lease with Apple Computers has been approved to bring laptops to students at Monett Intermediate School this school year. Principal Peg Bryan explained how she plans to approach individual computers for fifth- and sixth-grade students differently than those in use at the middle and high schools.
