Monett Council approves upgrade for safe room (Local News ~ 11/11/13)
The Monett City Council voted to pay for all the alternates in building thenew safe room for the Marshall Hill subdivision, raising the cost of the project to $844,545. Six bidders submitted quotes ranging from $712,688 to $810,000 for the base price. According to City Administrator Dennis Pyle, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) approved a grant of up to $503,000 for the project, and the city would use all of the eligible funds... -
