City receives positive audit report

The City of Monett received an unmodified audit, a clean positive report, for its fiscal year ending on March 31. Dawnata Hopkins, auditor for The CPA Group, presented her report to the Monett City Council during a special meeting on Nov. 6. Hopkins said new standards from the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) changed the format of the city's audit in several parts. Even the term "qualified" or "unqualified" has switched to "modified."...
