Confusion reigned at the March meeting of the Verona City Council over whether an animal is a pit bull or a French mastiff, after a resident was issued a warning for owning an animal banned by city ordinance. David Asher spoke to aldermen concerning the warning he was issued by the Verona Police Department for allegedly having a pit bull.
