Health board approves variance request (01/03/13)
On Dec. 20, 2012 the Barry County Health Department Board of Trustees granted a variance request to Donna Lombregoia, owner of Nonna's Nummies in Shell Knob. "They are trying to correct issues with their current system, and they have been advised that a wastewater treatment system is needed there," said Roger Brock, Barry County Health Department administrator. 13 injured in holiday crashes (01/03/13)
A single-vehicle crash on Highway 97 three miles north of Pierce City resulted in five people injured. Angel Tree effort serves over 100 youngsters (01/03/13)

Wrestling Cubs hit the mats over the holidays (01/03/13)
The Monett Cubs wrestling team stayed busy over the holiday break. The Cubs earned a 15th place finish in the 24-team Kinloch Classic Holiday Tournament in Springfield.
