Sweet summer Dairy Queen memories (08/20/12)
Many area residents may have a few nostalgic memories of summertime in Monett, including Fred Moseley, Jr. whose favorite recollections center around the family-owned Dairy Queen, a Monett fixture since 1950. Annual Hundred Mile Yard Sale returns on Aug. 25 (08/20/12)
The annual 100 Mile Yard Sale returns to Barry and Lawrence counties on Saturday, Aug. 25. Originally organized by the Mt. Vernon Chamber of Commerce, the event extends from Ash Grove to Branson East. The route remains unchanged this year. According to a Mt. Vernon chamber spokesperson, the Missouri Department of Transportation will allow use of its right of way along state highways for garage sale sellers for the day...
