Rolling Thunder will "Ride to the Wall" (05/24/12)

Summer fun begins with opening of Monett swimming pool (05/24/12)
Lifeguard training has been underway this week at the Monett Municipal Swimming Pool for those covering area pools managed by the YMCA. The Monett pool opens on Saturday., May 26. Hours will be 1 to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday and 1 to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Lap swim time is noon to 1 p.m. and 6 to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Officers with the Monett Police Department responded to 1,843 incidents, not including 911 calls, during the month of April, along with 15 collisions involving 30 vehicles. Members of Missouri FBLA-PBL teamed up for a "feet-on-the-ground" effort to replace approximately 12,000 trees lost in the devastation of the Joplin tornado on May 22, 2011.
