New digs for Monett building inspector's office (04/05/12)
Furniture is due in this week for the Monett building inspector's office at 508 Bond St. Inspector Wade Ennes has been working on installing preliminary wiring to run equipment once the fiber optics lines are installed. Ennes has moved three filing cabinets from the old office of his predecessor, George Rausch, out of the utilities office at Monett City Hall, and has another three cabinets to move out of the city hall basement before his files can be centrally located...
Cruise-in returns to Broadway on Friday (04/05/12)
The monthly cruise-in for vintage vehicle owners and enthusiasts returns to downtown Monett on Friday. After a break for winter weather, the cruise-in returns under the sponsorship of Denali Dreams. R-7 board votes to give teachers a boost in pay (04/05/12)
The Verona R-7 Board of Education voted to increase teachers' pay for the 2012-13 school year at the board's March meeting. The new salary schedule for faculty was approved. The base salary for a new certified teacher is $28,650, up $471 from last year for teachers with a bachelor degree.
