The Monett R-1 Board of Education has moved forward on finding a successor for Superintendent Dr. John Jungmann and filled other vacancies at the regular February meeting. The board met Sunday and decided to seek applicants for the superintendent's job by posting notice of the vacancy on the district's website and to advertise statewide. The Monett Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors passed its budget for the 2012-13 business year and prepared for the annual membership meeting during the board's February session.
