A Shell Knob man was killed in a single vehicle crash at 7:20 p.m. on Jan. 26 in Stone County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Gary W. Barta, 63, was driving north on Highway 39, a half mile north of Carr Lane, when his Ford 2008 F150 pickup went off the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned. Barta, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Stone County Coroner John Cunnyngham...
