Monett council approves lease deals (01/25/12)
The Monett City Council approved two property leases at its January meeting last week. The one-year lease was authorized for the Monett Community Building at County Road and Maple with the Workforce Investment Board of Southwest Missouri. The arrangement, generating $1,500 a month for the city, will allow the Missouri Career Center to move its services for the unemployed from its current location. Monett city employees report on recent projects (01/25/12)
Monett City Council members heard reports from city employees about a wide range of activities during the January meeting. Police Chief Tim Schweder said he has openings for two officers. He plans to test candidates in the end of February. No objections had come from AT and T over the city's request for access to the database for its 911 city for an audit. Dispatching supervisor Bonnie Witt-Schulte hoped to begin downloading information for an audit of the system by OnPoint beginning on Jan. 23...
