Monett hosts spectacular parade line-up (12/12/11)

It was inaccurately reported in the Dec. 1 edition of The Monett Times that the City of Verona had released Dan Head from its employ. Former Police Chief Dan Head resigned from the post, and Verona aldermen accepted his resignation at their March 3, 2011, meeting. The Monett Times sincerely apologizes for the error...
PC ornaments are now on sale (12/12/11)
The Dacy Foundation now has its 2011 Christmas ornament, featuring the Windsor Hotel, on sale at First State Bank and City Hall in Pierce City. Cost of the ornament, the ninth in the series, is $6. The Windsor Hotel was built in 1884 by Charles Pfaff. In 1960, the historic hotel was torn down, and the site is now home to the Pierce City Post Office.
