Monett airport expansion subject of hearing (10/14/11)
A public hearing on what environmental impact the proposed expansion project at Monett Municipal Airport might have on the surrounding landscape was held Tuesday night with several area residents in attendance. Pumpkin pride (10/14/11)
St. Mary's preschool through second grade students enjoyed a day at the Pumpkin Patch in Marionville on Oct. 7. Students and their families enjoyed a beautiful fall day full of learning and fun. Monett Gymnastics has started fall classes (10/14/11)
Fall classes have started at the Monett Gymnastics Center. Shawn Hines, now in his fifth year of managing the city-owned facility behind the Ramey Supermarket, has started Monday classes in addition to those offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Hines said he and his son, Bryson, provide instruction for all the sessions. Classes start for children as young as 3 and run through high school. The Monett Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its next Membership Mingle on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 11:50 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Aaron's Sales and Lease located on Highway 60 in Monett. Firefighters in prime time (10/14/11)
The Monett Rural Fire Department brought its pumper truck to the Monett Area YMCA's Prime Time program, allowing children to learn about some of the equipment used by firefighters. Two hurt in wrecks on area highways (10/14/11)
A Marionville man was injured in a two-vehicle collision yesterday on Highway H two miles west of Mt. Vernon. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred at 5:25 p.m. when the driver of a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle, Robert E.
