New E-911 tax would generate about $425,000 (08/22/11)
By voting to place a one-eighth of a sales tax issue on the November ballot, the Barry County E-911 Board is looking to increase its revenue and keep the emergency center operational. A motorcycle crash on Sunday afternoon left two Barry County men seriously injured. Ribbon cutting ceremonies were held by the Monett Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors for a shuttle bus with a wheelchair lift acquired by Arc of the Ozarks in Monett.
