A fiery car crash. A severely burned young woman. And the nearest treatment center to address those injuries is over 650 miles away. For Chasity Delaney Moore, a Barry County resident, that scenario was all too real in 2009. Six people hurt in vehicle crashes (07/27/11)
A three-vehicle crash on Highway 37 in Purdy on Monday left three people with injuries. The crash took place at 4:15 p.m., one-tenth of the mile north of Highway B. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the northbound 1994 Chevrolet Astrovan, driven by Rachael Harris, 32, of Monett, crossed the center line and collided with a southbound 2007 Toyota Tundra pickup, driven by Cynthia Hess, 52, of Monett. ...
R-1 Board reviews construction work on two campuses (07/27/11)
The Monett R-1 Board of Education reviewed construction progress and program development at its July meeting. Pam Haldiman, architect with Sapp Design Associates, provided a timeline on the completion of work at the Monett Elementary School. Superintendent Dr. John Jungmann expected to review the punch list of work still needed on the kindergarten and first grade wing on July 26. Moving in is scheduled for Aug. 3 and Aug. 4. Grant allows measurement of water quality levels in LawCo streams (07/27/11)
The Lawrence County Health Department has received a sub-grant through the Environmental Resources Coalition for the Springfield-Branson Onsite Wastewater Project.
