Moser Kennel, a Monett dog breeding facility, owned by Linda Brisco, has been shut down through a temporary restraining order issued Tuesday by Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Agriculture. Plans are in place for Monett's Freedom and Fireworks celebration on Friday and Saturday at Monett's South Park. Sarah Hohensee, chairperson for the event, said 52 vendors have signed up for booths in the park. The park located east of the new Business Highway 60 bridge, south of Verona, was vandalized last week. Several pieces of playground equipment were defaced and destroyed.
