Store closing opens door for business expansion (04/15/11)
A change came to business offerings in downtown Monett with the closing of a long established retailer and prospects advancing for expansion of another. The Front Page, primarily a women's clothing store which had operated in downtown Monett for two decades, closed its doors. Barry County DD board awards nearly $28,000 in grants (04/15/11)
The Barry County Board for the Developmentally Disabled approved nearly $28,000 in grant requests at is quarterly meeting on April 11. The Monett Cubs (8-5, 1-1) baseball team picked up a 10-0 win over Lamar on Thursday. Monett's Aaron Patton (4-1) pitched a five-inning no-hitter and struck out six to get the win.
