Health Board updated on Monett office (02/02/11)
On Jan. 27, the Barry County Health Department Board of Trustees heard an update on repairs needed at the Monett office. Roger Brock, health department administrator, reported that he has found serious separation issues on the tiling and floor where the older part of the Monett building connects to the addition that was constructed in 2009. Brock encouraged the board members to visit the Monett facility to view the maintenance issues...
Drug activity keeps deputies busy (02/02/11)
The Southwest Missouri Drug Task Force seized a large "shake and bake" meth lab in rural Seligman on Jan. 26. Task force officers were assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol SWAT Team and the Barry County Sheriff's Department. Acting on a tip, the task force executed a search warrant at a residence off of Highway DD in Seligman at around 4:30 a.m. ...
