Coalition explores reservoir options (09/16/10)
The Tri-State Water Coalition met in Joplin yesterday to accept an engineering study that suggests construction of aa third possible water reservoir between Springfield and Oklahoma. According to Monett Utilities Superintendent Pete Rauch, head of the technical committee for the coalition, the latest action does not spell a change of direction for the multi-city and county confederation. ...
Center to reopen in Ňurora (09/16/10)
Details about the reopening of the Tri-County Pregnancy Resource Center in Aurora were shared with the Monett Kiwanis Club this week. Speakers included director Rebecca Haine, board member David Richardson and volunteer Abbey Tandy. Walk-a-thon to benefit area seniors (09/16/10)
The Monett Senior Citizens Center has planned its annual "Miles for Meals" walk-a-thon for Saturday, Sept. 25 at Monett South Park. Finances raised in the effort will support the center's meal program. The Monett center offers both a hot lunch program Monday through Friday at 405 Dairy St. and a home-delivered meals program to shut-ins.
