Sales tax income shows signs of improvement (08/06/10)
Sales tax income to bi-county cities and counties continued to improve in July. For the third time in four months, overall revenue has topped numbers from 2009. Monett showed a particularly strong showing, registering the largest gain for the month since before the economic downturn started in February 2009. Monett's two sales taxes for the general fund generated $163,644.86 in July, up $20,259.24 from a year ago. Monett's other sales taxes showed similar gains...
