SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP)----A well-known southwest Missouri women's basketball coach has died after a three-year battle with colon cancer. Thirty-six-year-old Stephanie Phillips, who coached at Springfield Kickapoo High School, died Saturday evening. The Purdy R-2 Board of Education adopted a budget calling for "adequate but cautious" spending for the 2010-11 school year at the board's June meeting.
