R-1 School District earns full score on annual state review (12/11/09)
The Monett R-1 School District has earned a perfect score and "accredited with distinction" status on the Annual Performance Report (APR) issued by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). The Monett Jaycees Toys for Tots campaign is now underway. Toys are now being collected for distribution to children in less fortunate families for the Christmas holiday. Ambulance District looks at less spending in coming year (12/11/09)
Looking ahead to next year, the Barry-Lawrence Ambulance District Board of Directors looked at a conservative budget for the 2010 calendar year. The proposed budget calls for $70,000 less spending next year. According to Office Manager Jeaneittia Pierce, the reduction is not as severe as it appears.
