A tobacco-free school district policy was adopted by the Purdy R-2 Board of Education at its July meeting. Ten people were injured in several area traffic wrecks which occurred since Friday. Monett city firefighters and Pierce City Rural firemen were called to an accident around 8:35 a.m. July 27 on Highway 37, west of Farm Road 1050.
