Health Department receiving welcome addition (04/23/09)
On April 16, the Barry County Health Department Board of Trustees heard an update on a building project that will construct a 1,000-square-foot addition at the Monett facility. Helping Hands Award announced (04/23/09)
Pat (Heidlage) Carver was named the recipient of the Dale Taunton Helping Hands Award at the annual dinner of the Dacy Foundation in Pierce City. Carver was one of three finalists for the top prize for community service given in Pierce City. The award was presented by Deborah Taunton, widow of Dale Taunton, who was killed in the May 4, 2003, tornado. ...
Mozark Artists Guild show at Chamber office Saturday (04/23/09)
The Mozark Art Guild will have an exhibit of works by nine Monett-area artists at the Monett Chamber of Commerce office at 200 East Broadway from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday. This will be the first public exhibit of its kind for the art guild. Barry-Lawrence Ambulance board reorganizes (04/23/09)
The board of the Barry-Lawrence Ambulance District reorganized at its April meeting and reviewed a detailed report on drug handling by pharmacist John Bruner.
