Barry County Health Board approves bid to expand Monett satellite office (04/07/09)
On March 26, the Barry County Health Department Board of Trustees approved a bid for renovations that will be completed at the Monett office. The project will also construct a 1,000-square-foot addition at the satellite facility. The board approved a $94,600 bid from Lowe Construction, of Cassville, for the project, which will add a new classroom, an enlarged reception area and two offices at the satellite office. Project plans also call for the relocation of the office's kitchen area...
Lions support Loaves and Fishes (04/07/09)

3-30 April vote midday tally 4/7 By MURRAY BISHOFF Voter turnout for today's election was light around the Monett area except for Pierce City, where a school bond issue was drawing high numbers to the polls. Monett voters have to choose two candidates from a field of four for the R-1 Board of Education and the Barry County Health Department Board. As of 11 a.m. today, 137 voters had cast ballots, the largest turnout for an April election since the mayoral election in 2004 drew 150 voters...
