Festival of Lights begins

The ninth annual Festival of Lights, a holiday tradition sponsored by the Monett Chamber of Commerce and the City of Monett, is underway through the end of December at Monett's South Park. A total of 29 lighting displays are showing.

Many Monett community groups and businesses are taking turns serving as elves for the Monett Chamber of Commerce's Festival of Lights. The elves distribute candy canes to the festival visitors and accept donations. On Nov. 26, a team from U.S. Bank served their shift.
