The Monett Area YMNCA hosted its "Lights On After School" event on Oct. 25 at Central Park Elementary School
Monett young people enjoyed refreshments and a variety of activities at Central Park Elementary School on Oct. 25 as part of the "Lights On After School" program. According to Jeremy Schmidt, child care program director for the Monett Area YMCA, the event was part of a nationally celebration sponsored by the After School Alliance. The national date conflicted with the school book fair so was moved to a later date and combined with a Halloween theme. Some of the regular participants in the YMCA's after school program ran some of the games, A steady stream of children and parents came to the school to participate.
