Over 4,000 people attended the fourth annual Trunk or Treat Halloween celebration in Monett, held on Saturday, Oct. 27 at the First United Methodist Church. Organizer Charlene Dart said there were 21 trunks this year, more than in the past, arranged in a different configuration. Because of the temperatures, visitors stayed for a shorter period, thus thinning the crowd and making parking easier. Dart said the event ran smoothly. Trunk or Treat is sponsored by Unity of Community with participation by additional businesses and community organizations, such as Crowder College and Asociaci--n Latina Imagen.
