Miller Fall Festival

The Miller Fall Festival was held Aug. 30 through Sept. 1 in the Lawrence County town of Miller.

One of the more challenging rides at the Miller Fall Festival was the rotating hearts. While centrifugal force from spinning raised the seats off the ground, the riders could turn the wheel at center and make the heart spin as well. The Miller Fall Festival is joint project by the Miller American Legion Post and Lions Club. Funds were raised to cover costs by the Lions cooking and selling fish sandwiches and the Festival Committee running bingo games in the Legion hall. A large crowd gathered in the Legion to escape from the rain and enjoy bingo. (Times Photo by Murray Bishoff)
