A reception to honor several retiring employees of the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department was held Friday at the Lawrence County Justice Center in Mt. Vernon. The retirees are pictured above. From left are: Deputies Glen Matthews and Danny "D.R." Comer; Pauline Gage, Lawrence County's victim's advocate; Sgt. Jim Tennyson and Deputy Kent Casey. Each one was honored for their service and dedication to their jobs and the citizens of the community. They were also awarded a plaque of appreciation, a deputy's patch and an honorary badge.
